2. Pick the venue

Will you be having a religious ceremony for your quince? Then you have to make sure that the church you want to hold your ceremony at has the same day available as your venue for the party. The last thing you want to do is having to find a last-minute church or a last-minute venue. It might not be what you want or will be more expensive than your original choice.

3. Send invitations

Does your tia always arrive late to every family party? Do your abuelitos simply forget the dates of your party because every cousin of yours wants to have their quince the same season as you? Are some family members just serial planners? To have the invitation process go as smooth as possible, plan to send the invites as soon after reserving the church and venue. That way, everyone has advanced notice of your party and can make the proper arrangements to attend.

4. Find your dress

Don’t wait until the last minute to go dress shopping. Try to get an idea of the dress you want by looking for dresses as soon as you can. Many dress shops will require at least 3-6 months to be able to order and receive your dress. Once they receive the dress, that is when they can start making the alterations on it, if needed. The alterations and fittings can take an additional several weeks or sometimes months. The last thing you want is having to be stuck picking a dress you aren’t in love with. This is YOUR quince, after all. You deserve to be happy and wear the dress you want!

5. Choose your team

Your quince will be a magical day, thanks to the people all around you. Your friends, family, and padrinos all collaborate to make this your special day. The sooner they can help you plan and execute your vision, the better your party will be!
